1. Say Aloha— Check-In With Guide & Gear Instruction ( 15 Min)
Meet at the shoreline, get fitted with top-tier snorkel gear, and go over a short demonstration and safety briefing.
2. Turtle Bay Water Entry & Practice 15 Min
Shore entry with time to get comfortable breathing and floating with your guide.
3. Guided Snorkel at Turtle Town 1+ hour)
Swim above lava caves and coral gardens while looking for sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine life. Your guide may also safely point out and share select marine life like red pencil sea urchins and pin cushion starfish—and if youʼre lucky, even an OCTOPUS.
4. Exit Water and Grab Photos from Your Guide
Return to shore and finish with a quick recap. Guide will airdrop your photos so you will have them before you even leave!
Turtle Town Coastal Kayak & Snorkel
Paddle along Maui’s coastline on a refined, fully guided kayak and snorkel experience designed for a more intimate connection with the ocean.
With a small group, attentive guidance, and premium gear, this tour invites you to move through the water at an unhurried pace before arriving at Turtle Town to explore the reef, swim with sea turtles, and take in the quiet beauty of Maui’s marine life.
During whale season, the experience becomes even more memorable, with the chance to watch humpback whales from the comfort of your kayak.
- Welcome & Shoreline Preparation (15 min)
Meet your guide at the shoreline, get fitted with premium kayak and snorkel gear, and ease into the experience with a clear safety briefing. - Coastal Kayak Launch (15 min)
Launch from Olowalu and paddle calm, shallow waters with sweeping views of the West Maui Mountains and reef life below. - Seasonal Whale Watching (45 min)
During whale season, pause from your kayak to observe humpback whales in their natural environment. - Guided Snorkel at Turtle Town (45 min)
Anchor the kayaks and snorkel with your guide through Turtle Town’s reef, looking for sea turtles, tropical fish, and select marine life like sea urchins, starfish, and possibly an octopus. - Return Paddle & Closing Recap (30 min)
Paddle back to shore at an easy pace and finish with a brief recap of the experience.
Turtle Town After Dark: Snorkel With Lights & Stars
Experience Maui in a whole new way on our guided night snorkel at Turtle Town. As the sun sets, the reef transforms and the ocean comes alive after dark.
Sea turtles are the highlight as we traverse the reef at Turtle Town to one of our favorite hidden gems we call the “turtle cave”. Turtles often surface to breathe, creating amazing close encounters. You may also spot octopus, eels, crabs, and other unique night time marine life.
This tour is safe, relaxed, and great for all experience levels. Our guides stay in the water with you the entire time so you always feel comfortable and supported.
We provide snorkel gear, dive lights, a flotation board with mounted lights to illuminate the ocean floor, and wetsuit tops if you’d like extra warmth.

2. Sunset Entry ( 15 min)
Enter the water during the transition period from day to night. We will Ensure comfortability with your
gear and a safe water entry.
3. Guided Night Snorkel 45min 1 hour)
Using our custom 4,000 lumen “main” light and your personal dive light will ensure a unique night
voyage with plenty of visibility. Swim alongside night octopus, turtles, lobsters and other critters only
available for viewing after hours.
4. Exit & Wrap-Up 15 min
Return to shore and finish with a quick recap of the experience.
First Time Snorkel for Non Swimmers At Wailea
1. Say Aloha—Check-In & Gear Setup (15 min)
- Meet at the beach, get fitted with snorkel gear and flotation, and go over a thorough safety briefing.
2. Shallow Water Confidence Building (15–30 min)
- Start in shallows where you can stand and float in comfort.
- Learn how to breathe through the snorkel, correct your body position, secure a proper mask seal, and explore the basics of snorkeling.
3. Guided Snorkel Experience (45 min–1 hour)
- Explore the diverse reef systems with your guide.
- Swim with sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine life.
- Your guide may safely point out and share select marine life like red pencil sea urchins and pin cushion starfish—and if you’re lucky, even an OCTOPUS.
4. Exit & Wrap-Up (15 min)
- Return to shore and finish with a quick recap of the experience.
